Double Disc Court

Probably the only sport in the world where two pieces of equipment are in play simultaneously! DDC is a fast-paced team game where two teams of two players each compete against each other with two discs at the same time. Pure excitement is guaranteed when tactics, speed and precision determine victory or defeat.

Two Squares, Two Discs, No Mercy

The playing field consists of two 13m squares positioned 17m apart. The goal is to defend your own half of the field and put pressure on the opponents with skilful throws. To keep things exciting, two discs are always in play simultaneously. They are thrown simultaneously at the start of each point – and then it's lightning-fast back and forth. A point is scored when the disc lands in the opponent's field or the opponent throws out of bounds. The ultimate move is the so-called "Double": if the opposing team touches both discs at the same time, two points are immediately added to your score.

Community
Communication: The Key to Success

DDC is played with the lightest – and therefore most wind-sensitive – discs in the frisbee world. This requires not only extreme mastery of the equipment, but also perfect positioning and lightning-fast reactions. But technique alone is not enough: team communication is everything. Only those who are perfectly in sync can prevent the fatal simultaneous contact of both discs and launch a counter-attack at just the right moment.

The German Championships in Munich

DDC is known as the charming "niche sport within a niche sport" with a close-knit community and strong sense of togetherness. As with all frisbee sports, there are no referees; disputed situations are resolved fairly on the field. When the German Championships come to Munich, you'll experience this "Spirit of the Game" at the highest level. Be there as Germany's best teams battle tactically for every centimetre and bring the fascination of two discs to life.
