Disc Golf
Disc golf combines the precision of golf with the dynamic flight physics of the frisbee. Instead of a ball and club, specialised throwing discs are used, which must be delivered into a target — a metal catching basket — in as few throws as possible. A sport for all ages that combines technique, power and focus in the outdoors.
How Does Disc Golf Work?
The concept is simple: a course typically consists of 18 holes. Each hole starts at a designated tee pad. From there, you always play from exactly the spot where your disc landed, until the disc comes to rest in the catching basket. Along the way you navigate around trees, read the wind conditions and choose the right disc for each distance — from the fast "driver" for the long throw-off to the precise "putter" for the final throw into the chains.
The "Munich Campus Meeting" in Oberhaching
The Frisbee Festival brings a strong, wide-ranging field of players to Munich with the "Munich Campus Meeting". As part of the "Discgolf Serie Süd", players compete across several divisions over three rounds on 18 holes. Whoever needs the fewest throws wins — the perfect chance to watch top-level play and professional technique up close!
